Angela Medlin
As a woman of color and lifelong creative problem solver, I represent less than 1% of professional designers in the USA. In my career, I’ve designed and directed teams in global athletic and outdoor apparel brands that include Nike, Adidas, The North Face, Levi Strauss, and others. These opportunities allowed me to expand my knowledge and skillset in ways I could have never imagined growing up as a creative with very few resources. It was the support of educators, community, and mentors that paved the path for me to think bigger and to see myself in these coveted roles.
“I am passionate about creative problem solving and empowering the next generation of diverse creatives.”

Designing & Directing for Global Brands
My career as a Design Director and Innovator in global brands include Nike, Adidas, The North Face, Eddie Bauer, and Levi Strauss & Co. Building activewear, sportswear, and outerwear collections with renowned brands has challenged my design perspective in wonderful ways, developed my problem solving muscles, and has given me an amazing toolbox of lifestyle and technical apparel design experience.

Bringing Clarity & Creativity to Start Up Businesses
As an entrepreneur, I have learned every start up business experience is different but the creative essentials needed to introduce the brand successfully starts with the same template. SMALL BIZZO is an extension of FAAS Design Collab mentoring new entrepreneurs as they communicate what their brand stands. We work with brands to create clarity in the many start up processes which includes storytelling, understanding the consumer, defining brand value propositions , and creating consistency across the brand narrative.
